ARE YOU AT REST OR MOTION??

 Hey physics enthusiasts!! Wondering whether you are at rest or in motion? 

In general people believe sitting in a couch with a television remote in hand means they are at rest and one who is riding  a motorcycle is in motion. 

The person named "Physics" loves to give surprises. Everything in this universe is in motion, from the time it was created. He says even if you are on couch, you might be in motion and you might be at rest while riding a bike.

Just imagine you have been walking by the road and surprisingly you have found a familiar face and both of you start exchanging words .Simultaneously, a car rushes off. Person inside the car finds you moving but you know you are at rest.

Both of you and the person are right. Then who is wrong? Are you really at rest? 😫😫

Motion is a complex property which depends  on the observer. There is nothing absolute rest or absolute motion. It is completely a relative terminology. 

A family enjoying quality time are at rest with respect to each other but a man on moon will find the family in motion due to the rotation of the earth. 

Human beings, trees, animals, cars, celestial bodies like stars, planets, asteroids etc. all are in motion. 

Next time when you find yourself exhausted from motion just imagine that the laziest one is also in motion.
